Fogmaker’s water mist system can be used with a variety of detection systems

Hydro-pneumatic, loss of pressure (LOP) design- The system consists of a fluid filled detector tube that is constructed from an inert material that is resistant to UV light and oils, fuels, and chemicals. The tube is routed throughout all risk zones and is protected by a stainless steel coil to prevent damage. When the area reaches a predetermined temperature (normally 300-390°F), the tube melts and activates the system. The fluid in the tube is environmentally friendly and is colored to allow easy identification of any leaks. Because the system requires no electricity, it is not subject to electrical shorts that are a common cause of false activations. The system can be monitored visually through the use of a pressure gauge located on the detector cylinder or electrically with a normally closed low-pressure switch. The system contains an audible alarm, warning light and alarm/indicator light test switch which is controlled by the electric pressure switch located on the detector.
